Mental Health Month 2022 Intro - You are not alone

If you are struggling with your mental health, it can feel like you have no one to turn to, no one who would understand, no one who “gets it.” If you’re feeling down, it can seem like everyone else is happy and nothing is going wrong. But you are not alone. You are not the only one who is feeling that way or having an issue. 1 in 5 adults in the US has a mental health concern. There are people who “get it.”

One of the best ways to help yourself and help others with their mental health is to share your story. Talking about mental health makes it easier to reach out when you are struggling. It makes it easier for others to reach out to you. Normalizing talking about mental health helps everyone.

I often struggle with my mental health, mostly depression and anxiety. Being open about my experiences is important to me and I know it has helped others. I have built up a lot of resources about mental health, so throughout the month of May, I’ll be talking a lot. I hope you take a minute to read my posts and consider sharing your mental health stories. If there’s anything in particular you’d like me to talk about, please let me know.
