Crochet Hearts

  • worsted weight yarn

  • size F-G hook

  • fiberfill

  • yarn needle

When changing colors, I found it to be useful to do the “ch 1 turn” with the new color for a neat transition.

I also chose to do a sc edging instead of a sl st edging because I prefer how that looks. When doing the last sc of one color, I would use that color to start the sc (inserting it into the work and pulling the loop up) then use the next color to finish the sc (yarn over and pull through both loops) to get it to line up.

Yes, there are a lot of ends to weave in, but that’s just the nature of rainbow projects.

 Sewn Card Holders

Easy to Sew Fabric Business Card/Gift Card Holder by JMB Handmade

  • Two fabric pieces measuring 4 3/4”x 9 1/2” - I used quilting cotton

  • Medium weight fusible interfacing also 4 3/4”x 9 1/2” - I used some unknown leftovers, the original tutorial recommends Pellon 911FF

  • Iron

  • Universal sewing needle

  • Thread

  • Ruler

  • Scissors

  • Pins or clips (optional)

If you go with all quilting cotton, then Pellon SF101 will likely be too lightweight, but if you choose an exterior that is thicker or canvas, then you can probably get away with a lighter interfacing like SF 101.

Bi Pride Flag

  • All strips: cut 1 3/8” x 9 1/2”

  • Lining and interfacing: cut 4 3/4” x 9 1/2”

  • All strips: cut 1 1/2” x 9 1/2”

  • Lining and interfacing: cut 4 1/2” x 9 1/2”

  • 1/4” seam allowance

Genderqueer Flag (and other 3 stripe flags)

  • All strips: cut 1 7/8” x 9 1/2”

  • Lining and interfacing: cut 4 5/8” x 9 1/2”

  • 1/4” seam allowance

Knit Bracelets

I used worsted weight yarn and size 6 needles, but I tend to knit loose, so I would recommend size 7 or 8 if you are a tight knitter. You can easily adjust the size of the bracelet by casting on more or less stitches. It’s very flexible. :)

Cast on 30 stitches

With each color, knit 2 rows (1 right side row and 1 wrong side row)

Use the tails to weave in the ends and seam the bracelet together.

That’s it!

Crochet Can Cozies

I used worsted weight yarn and a US G hook, but you can also use an H hook if you tend to crochet tighter.

Round 1: 8 hdc in magic ring, sl st to join (8 sts)

Round 2: ch 1, 2 hdc in each st, sl st to join (16 sts)

Round 3: ch 1, (hdc 1, 2 hdc in next st) x8, sl st to join (24 sts)

Round 4: ch 1, (hdc 2, 2 hdc in next st) x8, sl st to join (32 sts)

Round 5: this counts as the first row in the stripe sequence. ch 1, hdc in BLO of each st, sl st to join (32 sts)

The remaining rounds will mostly be just hdc in st around, but you can also use sc rounds to adjust the height. Details are in each flag below. If you want your cozy to be taller, you can add more rows of each color to your preference.

For seltzer can, work rounds 1-3 (24 sts) then work the BLO round and then a total of 20 rounds up. For a 4-stripe flag, I did 5 rounds of each color.
